LOOKING AT A TAILGATE FOR A CHEV. SILVERADO 2500. INFO SAYS NOT FOR COMPOSITE BED???DONT KNOW WHAT THIS IS.

The composite bed for the 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 was a bed they installed in a limited production for this generation of Silverado that had different dimensions so the # VGM-99-100 would not fit.
A composite bed would be one that is not metal or not completely metal. Is the bed of your truck made of a metal? If so, the # VGM-99-100 would fit and work well.
