Can Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock be Wired To Work With Passenger Side Locks On 2016 Ford F-250

Question:

Can the tail gate power lock be connected to passenger door lock circuit so it is not activated everytime the drivers door is unlocked. I unlock the drivers door 10 times to the 1 time on the passenger. might save cycling the power tailgate lock. thanks

You can install the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock, part # PAL8250 so that it operates with the passenger side door locks.

When running the wires for the lock, you can run them on the driver side and attach to the wires beneath the step plate so that the tail gate unlocks with the driver side door lock.

Since you said you want to have it unlock with the passenger side locks, you would run the wiring down the passenger side. If the truck has 2 doors or access cab then the wire will be in either side kick panel. If the truck is a true 4 door (crew cab) then the wires can be located in the step plate. For the passenger side, the wire colors are Grey with a Brown or Tan stripe, and Purple with a Grey stripe. I have attached the installation instructions you can check out.
