Shape of Trailair Rota-Flex King Pin

why on some of the photos it shows a recess near the king pin and some don,t ? thanks

The king pin on the Trailair Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC328330 features an industry standard king pin. I have attached a photo showing what an industry standard king pin.
The photos show the pin box from several different angles and the entire kind pin is not visible in every photo.
