Can Programmer Be Used to Tune a 2016 Ram 2500 Diesel and then Remove the Monitor and Keep the Tune

Question:

I am looking at purchasing a tuner for my 2016 Ram 2500 Cummins. I do not want one permanently mounted in the cab but would like one that I can update the program and remove. Can I do that with the Bully Dog or Edge? Or do you have another option that would be a better fit?

With the Edge Juice with Attitude # EP31507 or # EP31407 for your 2016 Ram 2500 diesel you could hook it all up, select the tune you want, and then disconnect the monitor and the rest of the unit will still be installed. But you won't be able to monitor anything without the monitor hooked up and powered on.

Even if you do not want a permanent mount these programmers come with a suction cup mount so no permanent attachment is required.
