Installing Second Friction Sway Control Unit on 30-Foot Trailer Using Pro Series WD System 49570
Question:
I purchased a WDH for pulling my travel trailer. I have since upgraded to a larger one. The new one is 30ft. I was wanting to add another friction sway control, and I wondered if there was a matching one for this WDH system. Thanks for your help.

Your Pro Series Weight Distribution System # 49570 can quite easily be fitted with a second friction style sway-control arm. Pro Series designed this head assembly with two holes for friction sway control units like # 83660, which you can use on your driver's side trailer frame. You will simply install the unit upside down so that it is oriented symmetrically with the original sway control arm. An install video is linked for you.
You'll want to be sure to keep both units adjusted so that they have equal tension and be sure to completely disengage them when reversing your trailer.
