Choosing the Right Yakima Replacement Lock Core
Question:
part # Y8771-A144? My yakima roof rack cargo system has lost the lock out of one of the standards. The basket carrier is about 12 years old. How can I tell if this is the correct part to replace it, and is the key I have likely to operate a replacement lock?

If the keys to your Yakima roof rack and accessories have a number and SKS on them then you can replace them with new ones and they will fit. Without SKS on it the available lock cores will not fit.
To install a lock you will also need the control key # Y8007835.
If the key number is A144 then lock core # Y8771-A144 is the correct replacement. If it is a different Yakima SKS key number let me know.
