In Bed 5th Wheel Wiring Harness for 2001 Dodge Ram Without Factory 7-Way Trailer Connector
Question:
If I use etbc7 to wire my dodge ram for a brake controller, what harness should I use for a 5th wheel plug in my bed? Does the harness unplug from the back of the etbc7 plug and I can use something that is plug and play for my 5th wheel in the bed connection? Or do I need something that is hardwired and spice it in behind the etbc7 plug? Vehicle in question is a 2001 dodge ram 1500 with no factory tow package or wiring. I currently have an aftermarket 4 way installed and that is all. Thanks.

The 7-way connector included in the # ETBC7 does not allow the wiring harness to be unplugged from the rear, so you'll need to splice into the existing wiring. I'd recommend part # 20023.
