Fit of Thule CG9 Tire Chains on 205/55-16 Tires on 2014 Toyota Corolla
Question:
I drive a 2014 Corolla with tire size 205-55-16. That would be size 090. Correct? I am looking at Thule Self-Tensioning, Low-Profile Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - CG9 - Size 090 and am wondering if you can confirm that these chains would fit this car. I could not find any info in my owners manual regarding any restrictions or wheel clearance info. Thanks.

The Thule # TH00023090 Self Tensioning GC9 Tire Chains in size 090 are indeed a fit for the 205/55-16 tires on your 2014 Toyota Corolla. We categorize tire chains fits by the size of the tire, not by the vehicle. I was unable to access an online copy of your owner's manual, so you might want to check with your dealer to see if they had any advice or prohibitions regarding using tire chains.
The chains meet Class S specifications, at only 9mm thick. When you receive the chains, I'd recommend completing a few 'dry runs' if possible. That way, when the time comes, you're not learning how to install the chains while kneeling in a snowdrift.
I've linked you to some FAQ articles about tire chains as well as an install video. The video shows the chains being installed on a different vehicle, but the procedure would be the same as on your Corolla.
