Fast Installing Tire Chain Recommendation for a 225/60-17 on a 2005 Toyota Sienna
Question:
I am interested in the Thule cu9 104 for my 05 sienna with 225/60-17 tires. However, I am a little concerned with the long term reliability of the cable in the back and the spring mechanism which tightens the cable. Have you heard of these things failing?

Expert Reply:
The Thule Easy Fit tire chain part # TH04115104 has been confirmed as a fit for your 225/60-17 size tires and would be an excellent choice. These chains literally install in seconds and provide great traction.
These chains also have a 5-year warranty, which is unheard of for tire chains, that protect you from any unlikely issues. We have not had any issues with any Thule chains having problems like you described.
You will need to check the owners manual of your vehicle to determine if there are any tire chain restrictions.
