I can help put your mind at ease about the Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller # 90195.
The P2 # 90885 and P3 # 90195 are both made by Tekonsha, and are both great proportional brake controllers. The big difference between the two is that the P3 can also can help to troubleshoot problems in the system, because it also has a full display LCD screen instead of codes that need deciphering. The P3 is Tekonsha's top of the line brake controller and is great for electric over hydraulic systems.
As for the P2 # 90885, while still a great controller, one of the main selling point is that it does not require manual leveling and it can be mounted completely vertical to completely horizontal. This controller will also support electric over hydraulic braking systems. The P2 and P3 are very similar but the P2 is a basic controller without all the bells and whistles.
