Roof Top Cargo Box Fit for 2012 Volvo S60 with 29-1/2 Inch Crossbar Spread

Question:

Will this fit my 2012 Volvo S60 sedan ? The Volvo load bars are 36inch wide and the cross bars are 29 1/2inch center to center apart ?

I have a solution for you, but the Thule Sidekick Roof Mounted Cargo Carrier Box # TH78GC will not fit the roof rack on your 2012 Volvo S60, unless one of the bars can be repositioned. This cargo box will mount to crossbars that have spreads between 23-5/8 inches and 28 inches. Since your crossbar spread is 29-1/2 inches, the bars would be too far apart to mount the Sidekick.

For a cargo box similar in size to the Sidekick, you can use the Inno Ridge Rooftop Cargo Box # INBRA220R-BK. This cargo box will mount on roof racks with a crossbar spread of at least 24 inches. The Ridge box offers 9 cubic feet of storage space and includes a key and lock to keep your cargo secure in the box.

Another, more budge friendly options, is the SportRack Horizon Rooftop Cargo Box # SR7017. This rack offers 17 cubic feat of storage space and will mount to roof racks with a crossbar spread between 23-5/8 inches - 36 inches. I have attached a review video of this carrier for you.
