Strait-Line Weight Distribution For Replacing Pro Series System with Friction Sway Control
Question:
Looking for a great Sway Control product. Currently have the Pro Series WD Hitch and use the Pro Series Friction Sway Control. Would like to go to the Reese Dual Cam HP, but my WD bars are not angled at the end where the chains are, theyre straight. Would the Reese Dual Cam HP still work or would I need the angled bars?

To use the Dual Cam style sway control you will have to have spring bars that have the angled ends on them for the cams to ride on.
Depending on which Pro Series system you have and it's bar style it is possible for you to upgrade the bars and then install the dual cam setup. But by the time you spend the money it's going to be a better idea to just upgrade the entire system. Doing this will give you all new parts and could allow you to sell your current system second hand.
You will want to pick out the correct system based on the amount of loaded tongue weight your setup will see. Keep in mind that includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the vehicle. Once you know that info you will need to follow the help link I attached to see all of the Dual Cam systems we carry. Select your tongue weight from the filters and the correct system will be listed.
