Compatibility of Reese 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Curt 5th Wheel Mounting Brackets/Truck Bed Rail Kit
Question:
Will the C16413-204 work with a Reese 30028 fifth wheel hitch? Is there any difference in the quality of the Curt Brand product and the Reese Brand above the rail bed kits?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt # C16411-204 fifth wheel install bracket/rail kit for your 2014 GMC Sierra 2500 is compatible with industry-standard fifth wheel rails which is what Reese uses. I've contacted Reese and confirmed that although the hitch you referred to was discontinued in 2009, it did indeed use industry standard bed rails. The hitch would be compatible with the Curt 5th wheel bracket/rail kit you mentioned.
Quality wise, I would consider the Curt and Reese rail kits to be equivalent.
To install a 7-way trailer connector in the side wall of the truck bed, I'd recommend # 41157. To see an install video for the hitch install kit, as well as the wiring harness, click the provided links.
