You can use the Hopkins Plug-in Simple Brake Wiring Adapter, # HM47795, but you will need to clip off the vehicle side connector (larger brown square plug) and hardwire the wires to your 2010 Chevy Silverado.

The 2010 Silverado does not have a port to plug the brake controller adapter into, but it does have a bundle of brake controller wires under the dash. The bundle will be below the steering column, to the left of the brake pedal, tied together with tape. The tape may have the tow package wire functions printed on it. If it does, it will make installation a lot easier.

On the brake controller adapter, black is 12 volt power, white is ground, blue is electric brake output, and red is for the stop light. If the functions are not on the tape, then you will have to test the wires by function using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. On many newer GM vehicles, there are 5 wires in the bundle. Blue is usually electric brake output. Red is usually 12 volt power. Blue with a white stripe is usually the brake light circuit. White is usually the ground. The orange wire will not be used so it can be taped up and placed out of the way.

I attached an FAQ article on installing a brake controller in your vehicle for you to check out also.
