Grease Seal and Bearing Buddies for a 1996 Tracker Marine Tandem Axle Trailer

Question:

I have a 1996 Tracker Marine Tandem axle trailer. Inner Bearing is L68149 with Race # L68110. Outer Bearing is L44649 with Race # L44610. I considered installing Bearing Buddys with their hub seal system put failed to figure out the proper seal/stainless spindle ring for my trailer. My spindle measures 1.686inch where the seal rides and the hub inside measures 2.300inch The Redline seal # 168233 is 1.688inch ID and 2.332inch outside. The outside diameter of the seal sounds like it will work with my hub but I question the ID of the seal working since the measurement is only 0.002 difference. Any Thoughts?

I agree that seal # 168233 will work based on the measurements you have provided. There is an ever so slight margin of error and the differences in the measurements you took and the seal measurements are statistically zero so it would not be a problem.

If you wanted to go with Bearing Buddies then you would need a 1980 model, # BB1980A. The matching grease seal set would then be # BB60002. I have linked a video review for you.
