Availability of a Long Shank to Allow Tailgate Clearance for Weight Distribution
Question:
I have an inherited hitch that looks for all the world like one of your Pro Series WD hitches. No stickers or other identifying marks except the bars are marked 1000, which I think is the weight rating. I have a new-to-me Dodge Ram pickup and I need about 1-1/2 inches more length in the shank for my tailgate to clear electric tongue jack. Do you make a hitch base in the longer shank length? If you need measurements, I can measure from the pin hole to ? What? Thanks

I'd go with the Curt # C17122 which is 16 inches long and has a maximum rise of 10-1/2 inches or drop of 7 inches. The shank has 3/4 inch diameter holes that are 1-1/4 inches apart on center. This should match up with what you have but you would also want to check and verify this.
