2016 Mazda CX-3 Roof Rack Roof Rack Includes: Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points - Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum Part Numbers: RR46XR Regarding that item above for a 2016 mazda cx-3, I was wondering if the roof rack bolts onto the gutter slot or if it hooks down onto the top of the door like many universal applications.

The Rhino-Rack RS 2500 Vortex Aero Roof Rack that fits your 2016 Mazda CX-3, part # RR46XR, installs in the fixed mounting points on your CX-3's roof tracks. This lets the rack have a more OEM-like appearance. This rack does not use the door jamb for mounting like universal-type roof racks often do.
Installation requires temporarily removing, drilling and re-inserting the roof ditch mould to allow the rack hardware to reach through to the fixed mounting points that are under the ditch mould. Please refer to the linked instructions.
