For carrying bikes and towing with your 2008 Acura MDX I would recommend the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch for the 2008 MDX by Acura, item # 75614. This hitch is an easy no drill installation and will handle trailer weights up to 4,000 pounds and 400 pounds of tongue weight.
I have listed some items you may need to complete your Class III towing setup.
etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit for 2 inch Hitches, item # 989900
Hitch Lock # e98880
