When we installed the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75673 on a 2016 Subaru Outback, we found that the hitch pin hole to rear bumper clearance measurement was 5-1/2 inches. This can vary on different vehicles due to different size bumpers and mounting hole locations. I recommend measuring your vehicle to confirm the clearance you will need to clear the bumper. I have attached a help article on how to find this measurement.
The Swagman XTC-2 # S64670 measures 8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest wheel loop. If your Outback needs 5-1/2 inches to clear the bumper, with the XTC-2, you will still have 2-1/2 inches between the bumper and the bike carrier. I have attached a diagram showing this measurement for you.
If you are worried about clearing the vehicle with the bike's pedal or handlebar, note that the rear hatch sits further in than the bumper, providing additional room for the pedal and handlebar.
