Compatibility of One Set Of Tire Chains TH01594245 On A Jeep and A Honda CR-V

Question:

I have two questions. They are as follows for this snow chain. If my Jeep SUV is rear wheel drive, will set be efficient and effective by placing on the front? If I use this same set on a CRV front wheel drive, will they be efficient and effective? Should they be placed on the front wheels?

Good news, I can help you with your tire chain inquiry.

The tire chains you are looking at # TH01594245 fit a variety of tire sizes, you will want to check to make sure these work with both your Jeep and Honda CR-V. If you tell me the tire sizes on both vehicles, I'd be happy to look into it for you.

Ideally you would want to put snow chains on all 4 wheels of a vehicle, this will give you the best traction for braking, turning, and accelerating. Otherwise, if one set of chains is used you would then want to put them on the primary drive wheels of the vehicle. The reasoning for this is because if you get stuck, your primary drive wheels are the ones that will spin to get you out, so placing the chains on those tires will be the best chance for traction, acceleration and to get out of a pickle. In your case it is the rear wheels for the Jeep and front for the CR-V.

Since I do not know the year of your vehicles, you will want to check the owners manual of your vehicle to determine if there are any restrictions on tire chain usage.
