Does the Hinge Kit part # FHDPB330301 Slip Over a 3 inch by 3 inch Trailer Tongue

Question:

yes this is the one I ordered.when I ask the ? of which coupler kit I would need.and I was told to measure my tounge rail which measured 3inches by 3 inches,on the video it said the coupler was 3 inches by 3 inches, I was wondering how that would work,are how it would slip over my tounge rail after I cut it??

If your tongue is 3 inch by 3 inch the correct hinge kit is the part # FHDPB330301 that you ordered. If the tongue of your trailer measures 3 inch by 3 inch (like you said it was) this will simply slip right over it.

I attached link to the install instructions and an install video for you to check out, but basically you will cut the tongue of the trailer where you want to have the hinge located and then you will install both sections of the tongue in either side of the hinge.

I also attached a picture that shows the components of the hinge kit in an exploded diagram.
