Tire Chain Recommendation for 2006 Ford Expedition
Question:
Do you recommend to use chains at Reno NV ? If so just the two wheels ? Its for a four expedition 2006 We are traveling tomorrow morning, and so we want to be prepared.

Expert Reply:
Assuming that your Expedition uses 265/70-17 tires, the owner's manual says you can uses traction devices, but they recommend using tire cables like part # PW3027C, not chains. Ford recommends using cables on the rear wheels only. I'd also recommend a set of rubber adjusters, part # PW105. The adjusters will keep the cables tight to your tires, providing constant tension.
