Locating the Brake Controller Port on 2015 Ram 1500
Question:
Im trying to install a Prodigy 2 in a 2015 Ram. I just got off the phone with a Dodge dealer and they said some of the trucks dont have the harness. I cant seem to find it anywhere. I have a hard time believing the truck has the trailer brake connector in the back but not the connector for the controller. Can you help me locate it?

The installation instructions for the vehicle specific brake controller adapter # 3024-P indicate that the plug for the brake controller harness is located underneath the dash and to the right of the steering column. The instructions say the plug is taped to another harness and there should be a 4-pin connector that mates with the one of the adapter # 3024-P.
Sometimes, these harnesses do not end up in the same exact location on every vehicle of the same model. The connector may be hidden and you may have to do a bit of searching to find the right connector. We have had pickups in for installations where the brake controller harness connector was hidden out of sight up under the dash.
