where are the saftey chain loops that act like a handle? what are those little u shaped platesthat come with the pins? thanks

The safety chain loops that also act as handles are not pictured, but when installed, they will be to the sides of the narrowest part of the Reese Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, # RP58079. The u-shaped plates are actually spacers that fit between the installation rails, # RP30035, and the bed of your truck to give the system more strength and support. If you do not already have compatible rails, they are required for installation and are sold separately.
