Troubleshooting Trailer Lights that Stop Working When Vehicle Suspension is Compressed
Question:
lights go out when weight is in the bed, hooked on the trailer. disconnect the trailer and lights still blink on and off. disconnect the trailer from the fith wheel and the lights work fine

There is an exposed wire that is touching something metal and shorting out when your suspension is compressed. Most likely the wiring is somewhere along the frame rails and where the body meet.
I wish I could be more specific than that but you will need to trace the wiring from the back of the vehicle up forward looking for cut or exposed wire.
