Spare Tire Bike Rack Recommendation for Jeep with Oversize Spare

Question:

I want to buy the adapter and extender for the Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Rack so that it can fit my new 33inch tires. But, I also want to buy this product because the factory Jeep spare tire carrier is cracked. Will the Thule product, with the extender, fit with this Bestop tire carrier? Thanks. 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara

For an oversize rear spare you will need the Yakima Spare Ride part # Y02599 as the Thule Spare Me # TH963PRO can only work with tires up to 10 inches wide and 32 in diameter.

The Yakima can fit on tires that are up to 12.5 inches in width.

The adapter you referenced for the Thule is just a replacement for what the rack comes with since it comes with a shorter and longer standoff.

The Bestop Tire Carrier part # B6196101 would not work with either spare tire rack though since it secures the wheel in a different style.
