Tire Chain Availability for a 235/50-18 with Limited Clearance

Question:

Will these chains fit and work on a 13 Escape SEL? I know the owners manual does not recommend any snow chains with the 235 50 18 tire/wheel size. I just want to know if these will fit without damaging anything. What other products do you recommend for my vehicle?

You will want to check with a Ford dealer, but the K-Summit Chains like part # TH02230K45 which are confirmed to fit the tire size 235/50-18 that you have, are a very unique tire chain in that they do not require any inner wheel clearance since they do not drape over the inside of the tire at all, they have a very small profile above the tread, and they attach to the lug nut.

Typically vehicle's will state that chains aren't recommended for a vehicle because of inner clearance issues. Most likely these chains would work fine since the clearance required for these chains is very minimal.
