The trunk-mount bike carrier I recommend for your 2012 Lexus RX 350 is the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top, part # HRF2.

This bike rack is designed for vehicles with spoilers and will work great on your RX 350. The biggest problem with many bike carriers and vehicles with spoilers is the upper straps that tends to place a lot of pressure on the spoiler when attached. With the HRF2 the upper straps attach to the upper bar and do not place downward pressure on the spoiler. I have attached a photo that shows how the HRF2 is typically installed on a vehicle with a spoiler.

If you are planning on carrying bikes with alternative frames like kids bikes or women's bikes I recommend using an adapter bar like part # 64005. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more level in the carrier while providing additional ground clearance.
