Availability of a Tire Chain for a 2014 Chevy Sonic with 205/50R17

Hi, I visited your website and noticed that you have a few snow chains recommended for Chevrolet Sonic 2014 tire size 205/50/17. The manual for this vehicle says that using chains is not recommended due to low clearance.

For tire chain fit information we recommend to always go by what the owners manual states as the restrictions or requirements. We basically list the available chains for the tire sizes of vehicles that we know they come with from the factory.

The best shot at tire chains for your 205/50/17 tires on your 2014 Chevy Sonic are going to be the Konig K-Summit Chains part # TH02230K23. These chains do not go around the inside of the tires at all so they work great on vehicles that have very limited inner wheel well clearance.

When manufacturers say that chains won't clear due to low clearances they are referring to inner wheel clearance nearly every time. Since these chains require 0 mm of inner clearance these would be the best shot.
