Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2013 Nissan Rogue
Question:
Hello, I am looking at purchasing the Thule TH934XTR for my 2013 Nissan Rogue. I will be transporting either 2 adult bikes and one child or 1 adult bike with the child carrier mounted on back and 1 adult bike without it. One of the adult bikes is female. Is this the right bike rack? Also as far as a hitch I was looking at Draw-Tite 75902, is this the best one to use? Do I need the swagman bar adapter? Do I need the Swagman anti-wobble threaded hitch pin? If these are not the best combinations can you make a recommendation. Thank you for your help

Starting with a trailer hitch, I recommend Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75902. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
The Thule Hitching Post Pro bike carrier, # TH934XTR, is an excellent 4-bike carrier. Even if you plan on carrying just 3 bikes, using a 4-bike carrier will make loading them easier because there is more space between the bikes.
But on this or any bike rack any attached child seat and of course bike trailers have to be removed before the bike can be loaded. People do it but the accessories and bike racks are not rated for that purpose so I would advise against it.
For a hanging bike carrier like this you will likely need to use bike adapter bars for womens' and childrens' bikes. I have linked a video showing how bike adapter bar # 64005 works with different bike styles.
If you go with the Hitching Post Pro bike carrier it comes with its own threaded hitch bolt so you would not need any other hitch bolt. You could add a lock using # THSTL2. I have included a link to a video of this carrier on a 2013 Nissan Rogue for you.
