Thule Roof Rack Recommendation for 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude

Question:

We ordered the TH7602 rails with the Fit Kit 3142 per the advice on this topic as an installation that should work for our Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude with flush mount rails and fixed points. Upon opening the fit kit, it does not appear it will work due to the metal part that extends below the screw opening - there is only an oval shaped hole in the flush rail at the fixed point and this conflicts. The concept appears it would work, but perhaps with a different fit kit? See photo of flush rails attached.

The Thule fit kit part # THKIT3142 is designed to install on the flush rails that have the chrome rail that runs above the black portion of the rail.

Based on what you sent a picture in of you would need a different setup.

If there is no chrome section then you instead would need the part numbers # TH711520, # TH480R, and # THKIT1656.
