Replacement Stainless Steel Disc Brake Kit Recommendation for an 8k Trailer Axle
Question:
will I have to lengthen my existing hub studs to fit rotor. Will the caliper mounting bracket line up with the existing 5stud plate, Seems like the rotor will be pushed out 1/2? I currently have 13inch Kodiak disc brakes, hub and rotor are one piece. Fits my 8000# axle correctly. I would like to purchase the same brakes ,but in stainless steal.

If you have an 8k rated Kodiak disc brake kit with 13 inch rotors on your trailer right now and are looking for a stainless kit to replace it the # K2R858DS would fit and replace it easily as long as you use the correct hub.
This will come with a new mounting plate that will replace what you currently have. Since this is a slip on kit and you currently have hub/rotors you will need to replace the hubs you have with idler hubs as well.
For a hub designed to fit a 8k Dexter axle you would want the part # 8-287-14UC1. If your current hub bearings are 25580 and 02475 this will fit.
