Installing New Elbow Fitting on Firestone Ride Rite Air Helper Springs But Still Experiencing Leak

Question:

How are you getting the fitting tight into the bag? Once the bracket is installed theres no room to get a tool on the fitting to turn it, I have it as tight as I can get it destroyed one fitting and its still leaking. I dont see how its possible with the bag installed into the bracket.

For the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2560, the fitting needs to be threaded into the hex nut securely so that the orange thread sealant is engaged. If you cannot get your hand in the space to tighten the fitting, we recommend using a pair of pliers to tighten the fitting down.

It is possible that when the first fitting was destroyed, the 3/4"-16 Hex Nut was also destroyed. If the hex nut was damaged that could be causing the leaking you are still experiencing.
