We have a few standard couplers that are designed to fit a trailer tongue that is 2 inches wide. I have attached a link to our product page for the couplers we offer you can check out. You would need to select the coupler that matches the hitch ball size and weight capacity you need for your trailer.

If you need a coupler that has a 3,500 lb capacity and fits a 2 inch hitch ball I recommend the Fulton Fas-Lok Coupler, part # F222000301. This coupler can be bolted or welded on and features a trigger-style latch that makes it easier to hook up the trailer. I have attached a product review video for this coupler you can check out.

I believe I have the same trailer design as the OP - the problem is the GVWR for the trailer is 4,200 lbs and I can't find a 2" ball coupler to fit on a 2" channel with anything more than a 3,500 lb rating. Wondering if this used to be available when the trailer was manufactured or if it has since been modified? I don't believe my boat and trailer are over 3,500 lbs but feel uncomfortable having the existing bolt on coupler not rated properly for the GVWR of the trailer.

You're right that we just have a couple units designed for 2" channels for 2" balls and they both feature a 3,500 pound capacity. I absolutely share your uneasiness with installing a coupler that's under-rated for the trailer's GVWR, even if you don't plan on actually getting up to that weight. I would check with any local trailer shop or dealer to see if they might have some resources for this. We don't have any options - but I have a hard time believing there aren't higher-rated 2" channel couplers available somewhere.
