Tire Chains for a 2016 Audi S4 with 255/35-19 Tires

Question:

The Audi dealer told me I cant use others snow chains because they can wreck the tires and I have to buy Audi snow chains. This sounds like a pile of nonsense to me, but wanted to see if you know if this claim has any merit.

I think the dealer might be pulling your chain (pun intended). Once I was able to get to the Audi parts website to look up tire chains there was nothing special about the chains they have. I am thinking that the vehicle requires Class S chains but I was unable to access the owner's manual for a 2016 Audi S4. Check your owner's manual for more specific information on tire chains.

We have many Class S tire chains available, some that only mount to the outside and tread of the tires so there is no interference with the vehicle such as the Thule Low-Pro chains, # TH04115104, which are Class S and fit the 255/35-19 tires on your S4.
