Brake Controller and Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2016 Ram 1500
Question:
I have a 2016 Ram 1/2 ton. My trailer has electric brakes so I need a control and the pigtail. Thanks.

I will be happy to assist you in getting a brake controller in your new 2016 Ram 1500. I recommend the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 for the controller. This is a proportional controller that will apply the trailer brakes in proportion to how much the vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on the truck and trailer.
The controller also has presets if you tow more than one trailer and easy to understand diagnostics. I have linked a video for you.
For the wiring harness to plug the controller into the truck you will need # 3024-P.
