Dexter E-Z Flex Trailer Suspension Equalizer Recommendation to Replace 7-5/8 inches Wide Equalizers
Question:
I have a tandem axle trailer with 33inch axle center to axle center. I believe that the axles are rated at 8000 lbs. The current equalizer measures 7-5/8inch bolt to bolt horizontal and 2-3/4inch verticle bolt to bolt. Can you verify that the Dexter part: K71-653-00 is correct for this applicatioin. The literature specifies that this part no. is for 35inch axle centers. Your recommendations please. Thanks

The # K71-653-00 would work well for you. It's dimensions are close enough to your current equalizer so that it would work just fine. This equalizer is basically 1/8 of an inch taller and wider but that would be close enough that it would work.
The axle spacing can be different as different length leaf springs will change this figure slightly.
