I want to weld this to 3x5inch .188inch wall tubing. Whats the width of the raw metal piece that gets welded to the trailer tongue? Chris

The outside width of the channel used with the Bulldog Cast Head # BDA2005C0317 Adjustable Coupler is 3.620 inches, which is slightly under 3-5/8 inches.
