Does the 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent have to Be Installed Facing a Certain Direction

Question:

Hi there, I have been reading your blog and watching the videos about this product and the installation. I have seen these vents mounted like a D on the on the left side and at the mid to lower 1/3 on the right rear. The installation you folks refer to is to have the vent openings down. I have one of these trailers 8x5foot that I just bought without the vents. I have purchased to vents to install them on the trailer in the similar fashion. After reading the blogs and watching the videos Im second guessing the installation. What is the manufactures recommendation as there was no documentation in the box that had the vents I ordered from Etrailer Many thanks in advance for you help.

There isn't really a specific way that the 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent # HMAV2-AVT2 has to be mounted. You could mount it like in the pictures or in any other orientation. It's just that with the openings pointed down it is much less likely that rain water could get inside the trailer.
