Stoplight Circuit Location When Installing Brake Controller in a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country

Question:

Im installing a Hopkins Agility Brake Controller on a Chrysler Town and Country without factory towing package, and Ive been unable to locate the correct wire to splice the controllers red wire into. What color and gauge wire am I looking for, what size connector is it in and where are the wire and connector located? What color and gauge wire am I looking for? A video would be really great, but Id settle for a good description, and maybe a photo. I understand how to probe the wire to detect 12 volts when the brake pedal is depressed, but there are far too many wires by the brake pedalinch for me to test them all. Thanks in advance,

When we installed a brake controller in a 2008 Dodge Grand Carvan (which is basically the same thing as your 2005 Chrysler Town and Country we found that the white wire with a green stripe was the correct wire for the stoplight switch for brake controller install.

I can't guarantee that is the correct wire to use, but I would test that one first with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993.

I attached the install video for you to check out as well. At the 6:24 mark is where our installer is testing the stoplight wires.
