Do Long Bed Trucks Benefit from Reese Revolution/Sidewinder Pin Boxes

Question:

I am picking up a Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite fifth wheel trailer tomorrow. private sale Seller has short bed pick up and the revolving feature active. I have long bed pick up. First question is is there any advantage for me to keep it in the revolving mode. Second question, if I remove the wedge and restore it to standard mode, how many foot pounds of torque should I give to the bolts and nuts that immobilize the turret. Third, what size sockets do I need for the wedge bolts and turret bolts?

Sounds like your trailer has a Reese Revolution pin box on it. These pin boxes are especially great for short bed trucks but also have advantages for long bed trucks too.

The trailer will track better behind your truck and will be easier to back up since the pivot point is moved back 22 inches. I would recommend you allow it to pivot.

The lock out bolts would need to get torqued to 275 ft lbs though.

I attached a help article on Reese Revolution/Sidewinder pin boxes as well.
