2013 Toyota Prius V 17 inch Rim Snow Chain Recommendation
Question:
What set of tire chains or cables would you recommend for a 2013 Toyota Prius V that has 17 inch tires. There is virtually no information in my owners manual etc. We will be spending Thanksgiving in Yosemite National Park may or may not be snow but chains may be required. Will also be using these for a Ski Trip to Utah in December. Thank you for your help and advice.

The Thule K-Summit Tire Chains, part # TH02230K22, will fit the P215/45R17 tires on your 2010 Toyota Prius. This is an expensive option, but if you need a set of chains that will install easily, will provide great traction and offer you the best clearance possible since they do not go on the inside of the tire sidewall these are it.
If you are looking instead for an emergency set I would go with the part # TC1547 instead. These are still pretty easy to install and will give you excellent traction.
I am including a link to a product page that will show all of the snow chains for the P215/45R17 tire size.
Before buying snow tire chains you will want to check your owners manual or with the Toyota dealer to make sure you can install snow tire chains on your Toyota Prius, or if there are any limitations.
