Can the P2 Brake Controller be Left On/Plugged In Even when Not Towing

Can it cause damage ifrom I leave my prodigy p2 on even when I am not towing any thing

The P2 brake controller # 90885 can stay on/plugged in even when you are not towing. The brake controller will not really do anything unless it senses that a trailer with electric brakes is connected to the truck. A brake controller will not cause any damage to the tow vehicle.
Also, when you park and turn the truck off, the controller will go into a power-saving mode after it senses no activity for 15 minutes. When it is in the power-saving mode it only draws a few milliamps of power.
