What are the Main Components Needed to Flat Tow a Vehicle

part # BX7420? What else do I need with the towbar to have everything needed to begin towing?? Base plates? Wiring? Is there a complete kit price? Thanks!

There are several basic things needed to flat tow a vehicle. The tow bar, the base plate kit, safety chains (they are included with the # BX7420), lighting, and supplemental braking. Without knowing what vehicle you have I can't really recommend everything you would need since several of the components are vehicle specific.

The # BX7420 is a great option though.

For supplemental braking the part # BLU37TR is a great option. This applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.

Most likely you will also need a high low adapter so that the tow bar will be level when you are flat towing. I attached a link to a page that has all of the ones we carry.
