How Much Do Thule AeroBlade Edge Crossbars Sit Above Siderails
Question:
The 2016 Subaru Forester has a fin for the antenna on the rear of the roof. I have a thule cargo box which I would like to load on this rack. The box sits right on the rails. Im interested in determining if I have a clearance issue. Id like to know the top of the rail height in relation to the roof and probably the factory rails. For my part, I need to verify any slope to the roof line which could help with the clearance and any deflection that happens when the box is loaded. Thanks for you help.

I went out to the warehouse to measure the # TH7502B-TH7502B to determine how high the crossbars will sit above the side rails on your 2016 Subaru Forester. The AeroBlade Edge is a low profile crossbar and I found that it will sit approximately 1-1/2 inches above your side rail. I have attached a photo showing this measurement.
I was not able to determine the distance from the top of the crossbar to the vehicle's roof for part # TH7502B-TH7502B on a 2016 Subaru Forester. However, adding the side rail to top of crossbar measurement to the height of your side rails above the roof will give you the distance from the top of the crossbar to the roof.
