Troubleshooting Dim Trailer LED Lights
Question:
Hi, i have my newly installed LED tail lights, following the existing wiring for the old incandescent tail lamps. I noticed that the led turn, break and park lights on the newly installed led tail lights were not illuminiating properly i mean it has a very poor illumination. Hope you can help me with this. Is ut true i will use a load resistor... If so ..what will be the rating of the load resistor. Thanks

If your trailer currently has a mix of incandescent and LED lights you can sometimes see the incandescents get dimmed, but not usually the LEDs.
I would test the LEDs by running them straight to a vehicle battery with jumper wires to see if they get brighter. I would also test the 4-way of your tow vehicle like in the video I attached.
A load resistor would not help, but trying to improve the grounds of your trailer lights might. I would make sure the main ground of the trailer connector is attached to a clean metal surface and that each of the assemblies are grounded properly.
