Shaft and Pal Nuts to Mount Yates Rubber 8 Inch Keel Roller YR800B
Question:
Do I have to buy the pins sold, are they SS? Why not just get 5/8inch galvenized bolts from local hardware store?

Expert Reply:
If you already have a shaft and other hardware for keel roller # YR800B then you do not have to replace them unless they are damaged or corroded.
You will want the shaft to run the entire length of the roller for support. A bolt would only work if it was the entire length of the roller and then it would basically be a shaft. You can obtain the parts locally if you wanted to. There are no specific parts you have to use with this roller.
For a shaft that will fit that also includes the pal nuts you can use # CE10725A. These parts are zinc-plated for corrosion resistance but not stainless steel.
