Why Does the Blue Ox Accessory Kit BX88229 Come with Diodes and a Bulb and Socket Kit

if the blue ox bulb sockets, bulbs, and wiring to motorhome are all SEPARATE from the towed vehicles wiring, then what purpose would the diodes be for?? wouldnt you only need diodes if you were using Hopkins style plug and play wiring harness, where the existing towed vehicles bulbs were being used by both vehiclesfoot electrical system? seems being separate is the right way to go, especially where the Brake Buddy is going to possible illuminate the vehicles factory installed lamps upon stopping.

That's a great question. I spoke with my contact at Blue Ox and she said that the purpose of the tow bar lighting options of the Blue Ox Towing Accessories Kit for Aventa LX Tow Bars # BX88229 is to give you the option of doing the bulb and socket kit or the diode kit for the tow vehicle's wiring.
You would not need to use the diodes with the bulb and sockets. You would want to pick one route or the other.
