The adjustable lunette ring with channel # 63036 is rated for 24,000 pounds so provided that the gross trailer weight is under that you can use it on your trailer. Lunette rings are usually see in agricultural and industrial applications which is what your application sounds like.
The channel will need to be welded to a flat surface by a professional welder. The welds should be everywhere the channel touches the trailer for optimum strength. I have linked a video review of this lunette ring and channel for you.
