Can 20 LED Clearance Lamps Be Added To Trailer Without Overloading Tow Package Wiring on 2015 Ram
Question:
I have a 41 ft covered car hauler and Im wanting to add these down both sides of the trailer for clearance lights. 10 down each side for a total of 20. I was wondering it that many would be a strain on my electrical system on my truck? I have a 2015 Ram 3500 diesel.

Since the clearance lights you're wanting to add are LED's, you have no worries. Each lamp draws only .046 of an amp at 12 volts. Multiply that by 20, and you have 0.92 amps which is less than an incandescent stop/tail/turn signal lamp would draw.
This assumes that your trailer doesn't have and excessive amount of lighting currently.
